Des Peres Electrical Contractors
Renovating an established Des Peres home usually means the wiring behind the walls has to catch up with the new layout. Much of the housing stock here dates from the 1950s through the 1980s, and as owners open up kitchens, finish lower levels, and modernize, the original circuits and panel rarely support the new plan. A remodel is the moment the electrical either gets corrected properly or gets buried behind fresh drywall.
Pure Home Electric is a residential electrician serving Des Peres and the 63131 area near I-270 and Manchester Road. We handle remodel wiring, dedicated circuits, and the code corrections that pass inspection the first time.
what sets us apart
Why Des Peres homeowners choose Pure Home Electric
Remodel electrical is where corners get cut, so it matters that licensed master electrician Benjamin Marchiony leads and backs every Des Peres job. The work meets code, which protects both the renovation and the resale. You get an upfront price before we start, we scope only what the project needs and flag what can wait rather than padding it, and we work on homes only, so the plan fits a lived-in house mid-renovation. Licensed, upfront pricing, no upsell.

Electrical services for Des Peres remodels
A kitchen or lower-level remodel almost always needs remodel and rewiring work to bring old circuits and boxes up to current code, plus dedicated circuit installation for ranges, microwaves, and other appliances that should not share a line. If the panel is full or dated, panel upgrades and replacements create room for the new loads. When an inspector or a real-estate deal turns up older work, code corrections and safety upgrades clear it cleanly. We coordinate the electrical around your remodel schedule so the trades that follow are not waiting on us.
local homes and conditions
Renovation-era homes and steady storm exposure
Des Peres homes from the 1950s through the 1980s are solid, but their electrical was designed for far lighter demand than a modern renovated home places on it. As kitchens grow and basements get finished, the original panel and branch circuits become the limiting factor. Storm exposure here is standard for the metro rather than extreme, so surge protection and a generator are common add-ons rather than urgent needs. The core work is almost always the same: bring the wiring current during the remodel, add the circuits the new layout requires, and correct the older code issues while the walls are open.
